
Michelle D. Harry
Vocal Instructor
Mrs. Michelle D. Harry is a native St. Louisan. She was raised in Florissant and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 2001. She attended Southeast Missouri state and majored in Music Education. She graduated in 2005 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, K-12th grades; vocal and instrumental music.
Mrs. Harry has played classical piano since she was 5 years old and was trained at the Clayton Academy of Music in her childhood years by the late John Porbeck. She studied piano, voice, flute and percussion at Southeast Missouri State where she was also the marching band drum major for 3 years. She has taught public school music for 18 years at all grade levels. Most recently, she taught 7th-12th grade vocal music and music history in the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District. She’s taught middle and high school choir for 14 years and the first 4 years of her career she taught elementary band.
She currently studies voice with soprano Sarah Price and sings with the St. Louis Symphony chorus at Powell Hall. She has knowledge and background in vocal coaching and voice training for all genres; but preferably opera/classical, Broadway/Theater, pop, R&B, alternative rock, and jazz. She has worked with mainly children ages 9-18, but has expanded to working with adults.
